HERRENKNECHT VERTICAL GmbH, a subsidiary of Herrenknecht AG, develops and manufactures drilling plants to sink holes of up to 6,000 meters. With a 51.8m drilling derrick and a total weight of 370t, the deep drilling rig, Herrenknecht Terra Invader 350, offers customers a unit with outstanding technical standards and a host of innovations, including noise reduction, work safety, mobility and efficiency, thus allowing geothermic projects to be carried out in close proximity to urban life.

Thanks to a drilling device specially developed by Bohrtec Vertical GmbH, a subsidiary of Herrenknecht AG, drillings for shallow geothermal exploration can be carried out efficiently.

Self-propelled vertical drilling machines are used to sink the earth probes to the necessary depth of about 50m to 250m, though nearly every location places additional demands on the expert drilling team and on Herrenknecht's drilling expertise.
