Since 2000, Dr. Martin Herrenknecht has been giving financial support to javelin throwing top athlete Miss Obergföll, born 22.08.1981. Greatest successes: Vice-World Champion, German Vice-Champion, European record holder and Olympic contestant.

The Schwanau-based company has donated 10,000 euros to support victims of the earthquake in Indonesia as part of a construction project of the Institute for Water and Water Resource Development at the University of Karlsruhe (Technical University).

Since the summer of 1998, Dr. Martin Herrenknecht has been making private donations towards the maintenance of 50% of a church benefice for the Parish of Schwanau, Allmannsweier. 

In 2007, Herrenknecht became the main sponsor of a Charity Gala of the Mentor Foundation International, whose international President is Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. The main objective of the Mentor Foundation is to join forces with experts and partners to protect children and adolescents from the risks of drugs and addiction.
