Christina Obergfoell
Since 2000, Dr. Martin Herrenknecht has been giving financial support to javelin throwing top athlete Miss Obergföll, born 22.08.1981. Greatest successes: Vice-World Champion, German Champion, European record holder and Bronze Medal at the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008.
Jennifer Oeser
During the 2009 World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, the heptathlete won the silver medal – the first German multi-discipline medal after 12 years. Although she fell in the final 800-m-run, she fought and was finally successful. Dr. Martin Herrenknecht has been supporting the athlete since October 2009.
Victims of the Indonesian earthquake
The Schwanau-based company has donated 10,000 euros to support victims of the earthquake in Indonesia as part of a construction project of the Institute for Water and Water Resource Development at the University of Karlsruhe (Technical University).
Benefice
Since the summer of 1998, Dr. Martin Herrenknecht has been making private donations towards the maintenance of 50% of a church benefice for the Parish of Schwanau, Allmannsweier.
Mentor Foundation
In 2007, Herrenknecht became the main sponsor of a Charity Gala of the Mentor Foundation International, whose international President is Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. The main objective of the Mentor Foundation is to join forces with experts and partners to protect children and adolescents from the risks of drugs and addiction.
