FLYING VISIT TO SCHWANAU.

Every year, Herrenknecht at Schwanau is a magnet for thousands of technology enthusiasts. In 2006, we welcomed 1,675 visitors to Schwanau. In top political circles, the reputation and renown of the company and of company owner Dr. Martin Herrenknecht continue to soar. In October 2006, Dr. Annette Schavan, Federal Minister for Research, visited the TBM production site and was very interested in the new Herrenknecht drilling plant. Herrenknecht also hosted an evening in Berlin at which Martin Herrenknecht welcomed over 60 ambassadors, politicians and special guest Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble, Federal Minister for the Interior. Foreign heads of state have also made flying visits to Schwanau. In January, former Chancellor Dr. Gerhard Schröder paid Schwanau a visit and gave a talk to 1,300 guests on the subject of "Germany and Globalisation".
