Machine Navigation

VMT navigation systems continuously determine and display exact machine positions and excavation tool status to operators, engineers and managers. The comprehensive VMT solution keeps tunnel boring machines perfectly on course even when the geology is challenging and visibility is limited.


  • Conventional Tunnelling – navigation of bolters and roadheaders for diverse tunnel profiles

TUNNEL CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION SYSTEM

VMT information systems provide users with all critical tunnelling performance data in real time. Flexible ways of reporting, clear user guidance, reliable warning and monitoring systems are integrated with an intelligent tool set to effectively manage, control and document tunnel construction projects.


  • Controlled Boring Process CBP – is a tunnel construction information system to record, analyze and evaluate tunnelling data for mechanized tunnelling. All the data is displayed in an easy to use Internet viewer

MONITORING AND SENSOR SYSTEMS

VMT geomonitoring and sensor systems track and capture the stability of terrestrial architectural objects in real time. They support tunnel construction by monitoring, analyzing and evaluating relevant processes. An important application is Automated Real-Time GeoMonitoring of buildings that are sensitive to subsidence. The system integrates multi-sensor networks which link geotechnical and geodetic sensors and can recognize early the risks of deformations.

SEGMENT PRODUCTION CONTROL SYSTEM

VMT tunnel segment production systems monitor and document the individual process phases throughout the production, storage, transportation and installation of tunnel lining segments – improving quality control and reducing costs significantly.


  • Segment Documentation System SDS – is a flexible control and documentation system for all lining segment production phases with bar code recording or RFIDs. It provides complete traceability for segment production and quality control. Storage and archiving of all data is possible in the TUnIS data base.

TUNIS – MODULAR SOFTWARE STRUCTURE

TUnIS – Tunnel and Underground Integrated Software Structure – is a standardized software platform that integrates the diverse functions via software modules from VMT and other suppliers. It achieves uniform operating and visualization concepts for optimum support and documentation of tunnel lining production.
