All of the machines are based on the principle of auger material removal - the auger transfers the moment of torsion from the drive to the extraction tools and conveys the material which has been excavated at the working face. The hollow drilling augers can be pressurised with air or water and the drill hole also serves as an optical lane when a measuring system is deployed.
