Tunnelling systems must be installed, operated and dismounted by qualified personnel. On request, Herrenknecht provides the personnel needed for the supervision and operation of complete excavation units.

To ensure proper operation of the sophisticated tunnelling machines, qualified personnel is required who have the right solution for every challenge. Herrenknecht staff combine experience and technical know-how to ensure successful excavation. Depending on the project specifications and customer wishes, Herrenknecht provides supervisors, fitters, engineers, electricians, guidance system specialists, hydraulic engineers, metalworkers, welders, drillers, surveyors and machine operators, or trains the customer’s staff in the different fields of tunnelling before or during the work.

Also beyond the TBM.

Of course, Herrenknecht specialists are also available for other services around the TBM from our global operational centers. Herrenknecht also has experienced personnel to support construction work beyond that of the tunnelling machine, such as in the areas of separation systems, site management and logistics.
