During the development of our products already, we attach particular importance to sustainability. This makes projects environmentally friendlier and saves valuable resources. High-end remanufacturing allows you to improve the environment-friendly impact of your project before you even start tunnelling operations. Proven operating systems and components going through our unique reman cycle can significantly boost environmental sustainability: on average, 71.42 % of emissions per tonne of TBM components can be saved once renewed components come into play*.
 

*Result verified by TÜV SÜD: In a period of 3 years, an analysis was run at Herrenknecht Rebuild Services combining Life Cycle Assessment and Life Cycle Gap methods. The analysis comprised 132 remanufactured TBM components. This combined method made it possible to compare CO² emissions of remanufactured with those of newly produced TBM components.

Today, ecological, social and ethical sustainability is a key factor for future-proof companies. The quality of our sustainability management is therefore regularly assessed by EcoVadis and has been awarded the "Committed" badge. 

UN Global Compact encourages companies to make sustainability a priority from the top. When management views the supply chain as an extension of the workforce and community, the company can set expectations for best practices throughout the supply chain.
