April 4, 2023, Schwanau, Germany Prof. Dr. Matthias Flora was appointed to the Board of Management by the Herrenknecht AG Supervisory Board at the beginning of 2022. He joined the Herrenknecht family business in 2016 and held various management positions before his appointment to the Board of Management as a representative of the next management generation. During his tenure as Vice Chairman of the Board of Management and Board member responsible for the Business Unit Traffic Tunnelling and the Business Area Group Brands, the civil engineer from South Tyrol worked with his Board colleagues to develop the globally operating company and technology leader's central strategy and launched key strategic projects in teamwork with other representatives of the next management generation.  

Dr.-Ing. E.h. Martin Herrenknecht and fellow Board of Management members Michael Sprang (Vice Chairman, CFO), Martin-Devid Herrenknecht (Member of the Board of Management responsible for Mining) and Ulrich Schaffhauser (Member of the Board of Management responsible for Utility Tunnelling and Exploration) thank their colleague for his unstinting commitment to creating a promising perspective for the future of the company and its employees. 

Going forward, Herrenknecht AG's Board of Management will consist of four people. Prof. Dr. Matthias Flora will in future devote himself more intensively to teaching and research at the University of Innsbruck, where in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences he will work with young academics to research and trial cutting-edge technologies and applications.
