Herrenknecht technology steps on the gas in China

One of China's largest infrastructure projects is the West-East Gas Pipeline. The pipeline commences at the gas fields of the Tarim Basin in the western Chinese Autonomous Province Xinjiang and transports gas to Shanghai and other industrial regions on the east coast. The West-East Gas Pipeline II connects the center of industry at Guangzhou at Pearl River Delta.

Herrenknecht technology was used in eleven projects to lead this pipeline mega-project safely and fast to success. More than eleven kilometers of pipeline were laid using Herrenknecht HDD Rigs. AVN machines with diameters of up to 3.82 meters achived best performances of up to 32,4 meters per day (pipe jacking, Changshan River Crossing) or 417 meters per month (segmental lining, Qiantang Jiang River Crossing).
